A beautiful Arhuaca Mochila bag handcrafted in Colombia by the Kogi people. The Kogi are an indigenous community that live deep within the Sierra Nevada Mountain range in North Colombia. The women learn the tradition of weaving at an early age and it is passed down through the generations to keep the craft alive. Each bag takes anywhere between 3-5 weeks to make. The figures on the bags often represent animals and the Kogi cosmology. The bags are woven with sheep's wool and the earthy tones are created using 100% natural dyes.
This mini version features a traditional medium-length strap to be worn on one shoulder.
